Gospels Contradict Each Other

Textual critics agree that the Matthew, Mark and Luke are very similar to each other. However, there are some differences – some appearing significant enough to be contradictory.

For example, Mark records three women finding the empty tomb of Jesus: Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James. Matthew mentions just two women: Mary Magdalene and “the other Mary.” Luke records the same women as Mark but later, when they are reporting it to the apostles, he said there were “others with them.”
