Section 3/7: Is the Bible Reliable?

People Still Had Doubts

Bible Bible: Historical Accuracy Bible: New Testament

In the book of Luke, following the resurrection of Jesus, it records that some of the people who saw Jesus resurrected had doubts. These people had seen Jesus actually die were now seeing Him living and breathing, yet they still had doubts about Him.

One would think seeing a dead man alive again—bearing scar tissue, no less—would be enough to inspire belief. But the gospel reports that these people still had doubts.

This detail is so counter intuitive (yet true to human nature), that it could not possibly be made up.
