Think about the chair scenario. The object of our faith, the chair, is what saves us from falling.
Imagine this: You’re going to go on a zip line for the first time, and you're nervous. Intellectually, you’ve studied zip-lining and believe it will be fun and that the cable will hold you, but you still have doubts. Despite your uncertainties, you go for it, and the cable holds you!
The object of your faith held you, not the strength of your faith or the extent of your study. The line itself was reliable. It’s what it claimed to be. We believe Jesus is who He claimed to be. We don’t need strong faith to get started, because we have a strong God.
