Our feelings are useful in many situations, such as appreciating a gift, understanding other people, or recognizing if someone is agitated with us. However, our feelings are not the measure we’d use to determine the sum of 2+2, the location of Kansas, or the existence of God.
Admittedly, we cannot know God exists in the same way that we can know the location of Kansas or that 2+2=4. However, we do know there either is or isn’t a God, and by examining the evidence, we can make an informed decision as to which of these options is more likely to be true.
