Section 2/7: Intro: Does God Exist?

Great Minds Saw Order In the Universe

God Science The Universe

Throughout history, many scientists and philosophers have discovered God - not from the pages of the Bible, but through observation and logic.

Plato: “There are two things that lead men to believe in God: the argument from the existence of the soul and the argument from the motion of the stars, and all the things under the dominion of the Mind which ordered the universe.”

Aristotle: Argued that there must be a First Uncaused Cause, which he named as God—a living, intelligent, immaterial, eternal, and most good being who is the source of order in the cosmos.

Isaac Newton: “This most beautiful system of the sun, planets, and comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being.”
