One of the most basic facts about human beings is that we all know the difference between good and evil. In fact, it’s so obvious that we usually take it for granted. But why do we feel so strongly that some things are right and others are wrong? Why do we so highly value justice, dignity, and love? Why do we detest cowardice, betrayal, and deceit? Why are we willing to die for causes and other people if we think it’s the right thing to do?
Christians believe this is evidence for God’s existence. If there’s a universal moral law, there must be a divine law-giver. This is called the moral argument for God’s existence.
