Some atheistic evolutionists have accepted that life couldn’t have arisen on our planet by natural forces. But, because the evidence for design is not admissible in their court of science, they’ve proposed an alternative –panspermia. This is the theory that life came here from outer space.
It’s an interesting theory, but we have no knowledge of another life-sustaining planet, nor any reasonable expectation that one exists. Even if one did, the distance from Earth prevents life from successfully arriving here. And even if panspermia were found to be true, it still doesn’t solve the origin of life problem. It merely moves the problem somewhere else, requiring an explanation to the question, “How did life originate on the donor planet?”.
Just as the origin of our universe required a first cause, life demands a first cause – even if it comes from another planet.
