In our discussion of the Cosmological Argument, we mentioned:
Francis Collins: head of the Human Genome Project who came to Christianity by virtue of non-biblical evidence, and
Robert Jastrow: founder of NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, who stated that supernatural forces at work in the creation of the universe are now a scientific fact.
Contemporary philosophers have come to similar conclusions as these scientists.
Richard Swinburne, a prominent philosopher and Emeritus Professor at the University of Oxford, is well known for his books laying out arguments for the existence of God, including The Coherence of Theism, The Existence of God, and Faith and Reason. He has argued convincingly that Christian belief is compatible with contemporary science and is the best fit for the evidence.
