In our discussion on the design of the universe, we saw that “specified complexity” is an indication of design. For example, we know a computer is quite complex, with a specified purpose, and is obviously designed.
Similar to computers, we find that even “simple,” barely seen, life-forms contain the equivalent of thousands of gigabytes of information – to say nothing of the complexity of a human being. As with computers, the best explanation for this specified complexity is an intelligent designer.
