Apologist William Lane Craig compares the universe to "a lottery in which billions and billions and billions of white ping-pong balls are mixed together with just one black ping-pong ball, and you are told that one ball will be randomly selected out of the horde. If it’s black, you’ll be allowed to live; if it’s white, you’ll be shot…then imagine the black ball has to be chosen five times in a row.”
If the black ball were selected five times in a row, you wouldn't believe it happened randomly and by natural causes. Someone had to make it happen. Similarly, our life-sustaining universe - which has even greater odds against it than our ping-pong ball example - shouts “design.”
