Earlier, we mentioned some people outside the Bible who wrote about Jesus. giving further proof of his existence.
Likewise, there are non-Biblical (or “extra-Biblical") historical accounts of Jesus’ miracles:
Phlegon (80-140 AD) acknowledged that Jesus was able to predict the future, that he was put to death, and that he came back to life (was resurrected).
Celsus (175 AD) reported that Jesus demonstrated supernatural powers and claimed to be God.
Josephus (37-101 AD) described Jesus as having “magical powers” and said he was able to lead some of the Jewish people away from their faith. This was a monumental task, for the identity of the Jewish people was strongly linked to their faith.
