If God promised redemption to us thousands of years ago, why do we still suffer? First, remember that God suffers with us. When He became a man, He left the majesty of heaven to humble himself and be mocked, tortured, and put to death. This doesn’t diminish the suffering we still experience. But God knows our suffering and He sent His Son to die on the cross, where He overcame sin and death. And because Jesus still lives, we can trust in His promise that one day all sin and suffering will disappear forever.
