Because Christianity offers a historical account of the origins of evil and suffering, it is better equipped to solve the problem. In fact, in Genesis 3:15—right after Adam and Eve rebel—God promises that one day He will redeem humanity. From the very start, the Bible tells us why evil exists, and then promises redemption. The true Christian story never turns a blind eye to the problem of suffering, but instead centers on the God of the universe rescuing us from it.
