According to the Bible, God created the first man and woman in His image. Adam and Eve were created to be in free and open fellowship with God and to live in harmony with each other and the rest of creation. God’s desire was that Adam and Eve be free agents so that they could have genuine relationships (with each other and God) and so that they could freely choose to worship the God who created them.
