In your journey through the Truth Challenge, we will discuss specific religious truth claims. For now we will only assert:
- Religions do make specific truth claims. (Later, you can decide if they are true.)
- Different religions make different truth claims (which often contradict each other).
Religion is the belief and worship of a God or gods. People of various religious traditions believe that it is true that God exists. These beliefs are based on truth claims from history and other sources. For example, both Christianity and Islam teach that Jesus was an actual historical figure from first century Palestine.
