Section 7/7: What is a Christian?

Jesus as Lord

God Jesus Philosophy Truth

Jesus made radical claims about himself - that he’s the Son of God, the Messiah, God incarnate.  These statements are either true (and worth basing our lives upon) or Jesus was a liar or a crazy lunatic.  The magnitude of these claims calls for clear acceptance or rejection. There’s logically no room for a middle position. A positive response means trusting Jesus is who He said He is, and trusting that He is worthy and able to be Lord over us.

Can we believe that Jesus always has our best interest at heart, even if we can’t see it in the moment? Can we believe He knows us through and through and has perspective far greater than our limited scope? If we grasp and believe this, we want Jesus to be Lord of our lives!
